In terms of the issue with the forms for medication use. I do think for prespcription meds, there should be a form on file with the school so the school knows what they are taking. As far as dispensing the meds, you want these kids to act like adults treat them like one. My daughter is going to be a senior next year and I don't dispense asprin to her, she is quite capable of taking it on her own. I think its ridiculous to have to have a form on file for asprin, or any other over the counter item. The school has so many policy's now that it does not enforce why add more so they don't enforce those as well. I think as well it would be a bit extreme to suspend someone for having asprin? What kind of jail are they trying to make it. The other concern of this would be the different sets of behaviour standards at the high school. It seems as though lets call them group A kids, can where and do what ever they want and very little is said to them about their clothing or behaviour but if a kid in group B does the same as a kid in group A they end up in trouble. So this issue with medication makes me wonder if kids in group B would always be the ones being questioned about something they are taking, but yet someone from group A never questioned. just a thought.
